Carefully assembled over 60 years, this remarkable trove includes more than 700 Golden Age comic books, offering collectors a rare chance to own pieces of a legacy shaped by passion, artistry, and decades of dedication.
Event Preview & Online Sale
Collectors are invited to a private, in-store preview on October 25th from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Paradise Comics. Please note: attendance is by invitation only, and space is extremely limited. To request access, please reply to the invitation email with your full name and guest details, or alternatively, RSVP at info@paradisecomics.com. Confirmed attendees will receive a guest list confirmation via email.
Online purchasing begins October 25th at 8:00 PM EST, followed by a live Instagram sale at 10:00 PM EST via @paradise.comics.
A Collector’s Story: The Life Behind the Longbox
Known to the community simply as Doc, the original collector began his journey in childhood, making regular bus trips to Captain George Henderson’s iconic shop to trade pocket change for comics. An artist himself, Doc refined his craft by replicating cover art from his favourite issues and spent decades scouring flea markets, antique stores, and dealer tables across Southern Ontario. His name became well known in comic circles — a fixture at shows, always chasing the thrill of the next find.
