Pedigree Comics' March Action Comics #301-#1100 THE ORIGINAL ZABRA COLLECTION AUCTION

Pedigree Comics is about to run a huge Action Comics auction: “The Original Zabra Collection” goes live Tuesday, March 3 and ends Tuesday, March 17 on the Pedigree Comics website. It includes 300+ CGC-certified books (plus some annuals), with no buyer’s premium, no reserves, and $5 minimum bids.

The standout is the quality: issues from roughly #101 to #1013, mostly ultra-high grade—especially from #400 onward, where the run is described as almost entirely 9.8, with many highest-graded copies and lots of pedigree books.

The books come from three #1 CGC Registry Sets assembled by the Zabra collector, including award-winning sets, rebuilt through years of global hunting for rare and pedigree copies—making this one of the strongest high-grade Action Comics offerings to hit the market.

Here are just some of the many outstanding highlights of the auction

Pedigree Comics (Doug Schmell) is pitching its Grand Auction as the best way for consignors to net more money, mainly because they don’t charge a buyer’s premium (which can otherwise reduce bids by ~20%). They claim strong, record-setting results across all comic eras, with fresh, high-quality, CGC-certified material and themed auctions that avoid flooding the market. To consign for the March Action Comics #301–#1100 “Original Zabra Collection” auction, books must be CGC graded and worth at least $20, and you can consign by shipping books in, emailing scans, or self-uploading via their automated system; they also offer a “Raw to Riches” service to grade raw books under their account and front the grading fees.
