Quality Comix is bringing an impressive selection of Golden, Silver and Bronze Age keys to its Sunday, November 8 auction, with all 50 CGC graded lots starting at just $1 and no reserves. It's an interesting opportunity for collectors, particularly with some major first appearances and classic covers on offer.
Leading the lineup is Iron Man #55 (1973) in CGC 9.4, featuring the first appearance of Thanos, alongside Daredevil #1 (1964) in CGC 3.5 and Action Comics #242 (1958) in CGC 2.5, introducing Brainiac and Kandor. Golden Age collectors haven't been forgotten either, with Batman #18 (1943) in CGC 2.0 featuring its iconic WWII war cover. Other highlights include Iron Fist #14 (CGC 8.5), the first appearance of Sabretooth, Silver Surfer #4 (CGC 6.5), featuring the Surfer's encounter with Thor and Loki, and Batman #155 (CGC 4.5), marking the Penguin's Silver Age return.
Bidding is already open, with lots closing individually from 7 PM Central on Sunday, November 8. A bid placed in the final minute extends that lot by two minutes, giving collectors a fair chance to make their final offers. With no reserves across the board, it'll be interesting to see where the bidding lands.
